Now our adult professional voice training studio has a new kids division for kids age 5+! Kids, both professional and those who are just learning are paired with our faculty to provide positive-minded, professional vocal training meant for pro kids but available to all!
For kids who are ready for private lessons, we have monthly packages of 25-minute sessions (age 5-11) and 50-minute sessions (aged 12+) in monthly packages (1 lesson time/day each week for one calendar month – this averages 4 meetings per month)

Private Lessons
We have four kids teachers:
Kevin Private Lessons Month Pack for pro-track kids (NYC in person or online)
- 25-min lesson time once a week for ages 10-12 – $300/mo
- 50-min lesson time once a week for kids aged 12+ – $600/mo
Kevin is great with kids and is a really remarkable teacher. He has both a bachelors in vocal pedagocy from Ithaca and a Masters in the same from Columbia. He came to us with the strong recommendation of the head of the department at Columbia Teachers College who contacted us specifically to let us know how awesome he was in case we had an opening!
Kevin has, with both his degrees and the 3 years of mentoring he’s received here at SLNYC, a total of about 1130 teacher taining hours. He’s really positive minded and very fun to work with. One of the things that is important to us at the studio is that, in addition to imparting skills to singers, we also nurture their love for music. We take the physicians’ Hippocratic Oath to heart when it states “First do no harm”. We feel this should apply ot voice teachers and we promise to nurture your young singer body and soul. This is one reason why Kevin is so effective. He does great work with professionally-minded (or seriously amateur-minded) kids aged 10+.
Liam Private Lessons Month Pack (NYC in person or online)

Liam has a ton of positive energy kids love and also degrees in all the right places. Currently, he’s in process of his Masters in vocal pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. Liam is great with theatre kids and is a working Broadway actor as well. He can teach all our specialities (pop, rock, theatre, and other non-classical styles). He works great with kids aged 12 and up.
Dana Private Lessons Month Pack (Nashville in person or online)
- 20-min lesson time once a week for a month grades 5+ – $202/mo
- 40-min lesson time once a week for a month grades 6+ – $404/mo
Dana is great with kids and teaches out of our Nashville location on Music Row or online from anywhere! She has a Masters in teaching voice from Belmont College and 544 teacher training hours (compare to the next most teacher training hours of 50 at maximum for other studios). Dana is charming, fun, and a great teacher. She is also a singer-songwriter and can help with songwriting and accompanying yourself on guitar or piano! She does great work with kids aged 10+.
Chris Marston (San Diego in person or online)

Introducing the ever-awesome Chris! Chris is one of the most enthusiastic people I’ve ever met and has a bachelors in opera but is super into rock and pop. He can even can teach you how to do metal vocals without hurting yourself. He mostly coaches our pop/musical theatre/belting kids because non-classical styles are our main thing, but obviously he can also help with classical, too! He’s amazing and available in Normal Height (San Diego) or online.
