SLNYC started way back in 1999 when Eleonor England started a one-person teaching studio in San Francisco, CA. As a performer, she’d been giving lessons by request from age 16, but this was her first official studio, cleverly names Voice Studios of Eleonor England.
Within a few years, Eleonor was travelling throughout the state and the San Diego and Hollywood studios were opened. Eleonor had become a very in demand vocal coach with a waiting list.
This continued for 15 years which had Eleonor working for various recording labels, artist managers, and artists.
In 2015, she opened a NYC studio in midtown Manhattan, rebranding the studio to Singing Lessons NYC by Eleonor England and hiring associate teachers to help with overflow clients.
As of 2020, Singing Lessons NYC has 2 associate voice teachers plus a kids division (opened in 2019) and associate teacher for the kids, songwriting, and music production.
