Voice Students and Clients Accomplishments

My students are my resume!  Whether taking singing lessons in NYC, online, or elsewere where I teach, many of my students start as either beginners/novices or semi-professional (singing at Open Mikes, school plays, amateur opera, small clubs, and so forth), yet a startling number of them go on to achieve prestigious recognition in music from playing out at really cool venues to winning or being nominated for awards by various nominating academies (GRAMMYs, Chinese Music Awards, etc – they’ve been recognized locally up through the international level).  Their achievements span genres including Music Theatre, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Pop, Rock, Indie, Country, and the ever-popular Much, Much More.  Although the actual list of their accomplishments is really too big for me to list in its entirety, here is a small percentage of what they have done DURING or AFTER they took from me – they are really awesome!  Please also note that this is a list only including my personal students – sometimes when you see such lists they include every student that has ever taken from whatever organization is certifying the teacher or students who came in for a lesson or two, but these are all my personal students and if they’s included here they took a series of lessons (be sure to also see her Reviews)

Singing Reality Shows (American Idol, X-Factour, the Voice etc)

  • American Idol (Golden Ticket winner)
  • My client went on to host one season of TV’s The Voice in Hong Kong 2009
  • Superstar K – K-Pop’s biggest and most influential American Idol type show.  My client was scouted from her YouTube page, flown to Seoul and competed on the show.  This eventually led to her being signed.
  • Second place on American-Idol-style TV show SuperIdol in 2009, a majour show in China and Korea
  • Unnamed singer-songwriter reality show from MTV (I’m not allowed to mention the name!  Sucks to be me!
